Suffragan Bishop Preston Norman Jr.
Suffragan Bishop Preston Norman Jr. was born January 3rd, 1960, in Chicago Illinois. In 1973, Elder Norman's family joined the spiritual family of Bethlehem Temple of Los Angeles, under the leadership of the Late Honorable Bishop William L. Smith, DD. He was involved in the choir, a faithful Sunday school student, and team leader with the Saturday Morning Outreach Team at Bethlehem Temple of Los Angeles. He also served as Youth Leader of his youth department and was very active with the California, Nevada, and Hawaii District Council. Pastor Norman has always been very involved with the Prison Ministry. He was Chaplin for the West Lake Juvenile Hall Center as well as the Chino Youth Authority Centers in the California Correctional Institutions. In 1978 not only was Pastor Norman called into the ministry, but he was also united in Holy Matrimony with the then Sister Diane Jackson of Bethlehem Temple. Through this union were born three sons, DeAndre, Preston III, and Nicholas Norman (11 grandchildren).
In 1990, the family relocated to the Inland Empire, where Pastor Norman served faithfully as Bethlehem Temple Community Church of Rialto as Assistant Pastor for 7 years and First Lady Diane Norman served as Minister of Music. This family worked together faithfully at Bethlehem Temple Community Church in Rialto under the leadership of Bishop Michael J. Garrett, finding whatever their hands found to do. In 1997 the call of the Ecclesia was needed in the city of Banning.
Pastor Norman began teaching home bible study in the city of Banning, where many souls heard the good news of Jesus Christ. In July 1998, he founded and was installed as Pastor of Praise Tabernacle Community Church of Banning by Bishop Michael J. Garrett; starting out a membership of (10); and, ordained by Bishop Henry L. Johnson, Diocesan 16th Episcopal. He served as the Assistant District Elder during Suffragan Bishop Robert T. Douglas tenure as District Elder of the "Illustrious" District #14. He attended Aenon Bible College during the years of 1979-1986. He taught Ministerial Preparation and Theology at "Living Waters Bible College." He was a prolific writer who has penned several manuals: "Christian Conduct During Spiritual Warfare," "Marriage I Do," "The Biblical Study of the Book of James," and "God's word, Man's Heart." our Economic Development Center, in 2003 the first "SAN GORGONIO PASS COMMUNITY JOB FAIR" was held in Banning, California with an attendance increase over the years to over 1000.
Praise Tabernacle Community Church has developed its own Sunday School Literature called, “Designed to Praise Through the Word,” which was released in September 2005. Because of the Pastor’s desire to help the community, we are a part of the Department of Correction Parole & Community Services Division Moreno Valley Parole Complex PACK TEAM, which helps parolees transition back into society. We partner with Riverside Community B.L.I.S.S. program (Building Links to Self-Sufficiency) under the leadership of Ms. Lanita Tadamy, Project Manager for Riverside County; Catholic Charities San Bernardino/ Riverside for Parenting & Anger Management, Chaplin for San Gorgonio Hospital, as well as Pastors on Campus for Banning High School. He has received various citations for Community Excellence from former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger; Mrs. Debbie Franklin, Mayor of Banning, California, and Community Action for Riverside County. We have developed our own “PTCC Resource Guide” for those individuals that are in need of various services.
He was appointed by the late Bishop Henry L. Johnson in “2007” to serve as Program Chairman for the California District Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. In June 2007, God blessed Praise Tabernacle Community Church under out great leader District Elder Preston Norman Jr., to purchase our present location which encompasses 2.4 acres of land. At the July Council in “2008”, Pastor Norman was consecrated and elevated to the office of District Elder to oversee District #14, which encompassed “12” churches. At the 2014 November Council, Pastor Norman was elevated once more to Vice Chairman of the Southern California District Council and to Suffragan Bishop of Region #3.

The Lord has truly given us a Pastor after His own heart; liken as his spiritual father the late Bishop William L. Smith, a man of Accountability, Accreditablity, Dependability, and Respectability.

First Lady Diane Norman
First Lady Diane Norman was born Diane Jackson on January 2nd, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. She is the fourth of four children. First Lady Norman is a graduate of Los Angeles High School, and she continued her education by attending Los Angeles City College. First Lady Norman began working for Bank of America and achieved her highest ranking as Manager, working there close to 12 years. She was called to service in the Kingdom of God when she was Baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 13 years old under the leadership of the late Bishop William L. Smith, DD., Pastor of Bethlehem Temple Church of Los Angeles. She has been blessed with many spiritual blessings, her favorite gift is singing. She sang in the Bethlehem Temple Young Adult choir for over 20 years. The song that most people wanted her to sing was "Don't wait until the battle is over, shout now!" She has been married to District Elder Preston Norman Jr., Pastor of Praise Tabernacle Community Church of Banning, for over 32 years. They are the proud parents of three sons; De'Andre Norman, Preston Norman III, and Nicholas Norman. They also share 11 grandchildren. First Lady Norman currently serves as PTCC Treasurer / Administrator. She has served as Minister of Music for Bethlehem Temple Community Church of Rialto, California where Bishop Michael J. Garrett, Sr. is the Pastor. She served as Minister of Music of District #14; as well as Region #2 Minister of Music, where Suffragan Bishop James G. Belle is Region #2 chairman of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (P.A.W.). Her husband, Preston Norman Jr., was appointed District Elder to District #14 under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop Robert T. Douglas, California State Chairman, and the late Bishop Henry L. Johnson, Diocesan of the 16th Episcopal, California State Bishop. Her husband was recently elevated again in 2014 to Vice Chairman of Southern California District Council and to Suffragan Bishop over Region #3. God has truly used First Lady Norman as an example of True Holiness to men and women of all ages. "For the battle is not hers; it belongs to the Lord."
